What got Mike back into Crossfit is his special needs son, Robert, and the necessity to maintain as much fitness as possible for as long as possible in order to be able to have his son at home. Functional movement, mobility and the ability to maintain focus under adverse conditions is his primary goal.

Mike is a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1) and is our resident Kettlebell enthusiast. He is a proud veteran of the United States Army and the incredibly fortunate husband of his wife Jocelyn for the past 25 years. Mike originally got involved with Crossfit as a result of the training he experienced in the military and finding the original Crossfit Bulletin Board on the internet.

As a ‘seasoned’ (50+ year old) athlete and coach, Mike’s passion is helping athletes, especially less confident or less conditioned, to create a resilient mindset about fitness and nutrition that will carry them for the rest of their lives. Relationships are everything to Mike, both personally and professionally. He has spent the entirety of his career helping Business Leaders and Sales Producers grow their businesses and transform their lives.

Mike is a Christian and is blessed to be the husband of his wife Jocelyn for the last 25 years and the father of their son Robert. Robert is a medical miracle and multi-disabled child whose ongoing health challenges have pushed Mike to become deeply involved in several different special needs causes. Major passions for Mike are cooking, reading and learning about how other people approach life.

Mike has jumped out of ‘perfectly good airplanes’ in the U.S Army, climbed frozen waterfalls and spoken to thousands at conferences. When not at work, he loves serving in his local church, cooking gourmet meals for family and friends, playing golf, weight lifting and kettlebell training in the unequaled beauty of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains near Roanoke, VA.
